Dr.Betty Ezati
Dr Ezati holds a PhD in Education (Gender issues in higher education from Makerere University) 2004, M.Ed (teacher education) (1992) and BA with Education (1990) all from Makerere University. She also holds a higher diploma in Policy Studies from the University of Alberta, Canada (1994) and a Diploma in Child Rights, Classroom and School management from Lund University in Sweden (2013). In addition she has undertaken several certificate courses in teaching and learning in higher education, research management, organizational management from the University of Kassel in Germany (2005), Gender Focused research methodology, Gender and Management and Gender and Social Policy. All these courses have broadened my understanding of educational issues in the country and beyond. Specifically, my understanding of the teaching and learning process, school community interaction, the role of the teacher in the promotion of equity and equality in the school system, peace and conflict resolution has been enhanced.
Dr.Evarist Twimukye.
Evarist Twimukye holds a Ph.D in Applied Economics from Clemson University, USA and joined the EPRC in February, 2008 from the Department of Economics of Kigali Independent University, Rwanda. Previously, Dr. Twimukye worked in the Ministries of Agriculture and Education in Uganda. His main areas of research and publication include growth and employment financial Economics, fiscal policy, foreign direct Investment, food policy analysis, and trade and integration economics. He has also used macroeconomic modeling activities using the Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models to study various policy issues in Uganda. Dr. Twimukey was part of the team that helped draft the National Development Plan for Uganda.
Donnah kamashazi.
She is Managing partner at ethos attorneys and consultants ltd. Rwanda. She holds LLM human rights and democratization in Africa, university of Pretoria, south Africa (2003) ( master’s degree) masters of Gender, Culture and Development university of Rwanda (2012).In addition she is the President of National women Counsels, Rwanda member of Rwanda bar association ,ACTIL trainer and Mentor.
Farirai Mudiwa.
She is the Provincial Coordinator W omen’s Coalition of Zimbabwe.
Gillian Kasirye
Gillian Kasirye is a teacher educator at Makerere University Uganda in the department of Educational Foundations and curriculum Studies.
As a curriculum expert, she understands the critical role of educating the whole person with the focus on the heart. In her home and international engagements with universities, schools and parents she focuses developing competences for both young and old to enhance their skills, change their attitudes and knowledge in their chosen field.
Gillian Kasirye holds a PhD in Education from Columbia University in New York City and has received several training in curriculum design and quality assurance in education from the US, Germany, South Africa and Uganda. She is currently researching on how families and schools nurture corruption in a bid to provide guidance to both institutions on how to reverse the same in Africa.
